01

The problem

In a firm running hundreds of active cases, the deadlines for responses, appeals and expert objections lived in spreadsheets and personal diaries, and the chance of missing one was a constant worry. Matching client expense advances, court fees and fee entitlements back to individual cases was a second, separate burden on the books.

02

The architecture we built

The firm's work was brought into one system under three headings. Court notices: documents arriving from the national e-filing portal are attached to the case or enforcement file they belong to, automatically. Deadline calculation: the service date, the type of court and non-working days (judicial recess, weekends, public holidays) are taken into account to produce the hard deadline, and the responsible lawyer is reminded 48 and 24 hours before. Case expense ledger: court fee receipts and case costs are posted to the client's account as they happen.

03

The outcome

The risk of missing a deadline fell to zero, with every alert confirmed through two separate channels. Because clients can see the status of their case and a breakdown of fees on their own screen, month-end expense reconciliation got 70% shorter and collection sped up.
